Microwaveable salt dough

1 cup of flour
1/2 cup of salt
1/2cup water
Food colouring -optional

Mix all ingredients together until the form a sticky but firm dough, roll out on to a dry clean surface and cut using cookie/dough cutters
Place shapes into a microwaveable plate and cook on high for 3 minutes (A few extra 30seconds may be required) until the dough is hard,
Allow the shapes to cool before decorating with paint or glitter glue.

I pierced a slight hole at the top of ours before cooking to allow me to thread ribbon through after decorating  and hang them.

"Hammer and Nails" in Play dough 

Use golf tees and a toy hammer to "hammer nails" into the play dough great activity for developing those hand eye co-ordination and motor skills
