About Me

Hampshire, United Kingdom
Hi I'm Louise and I've been working with children for over 8 years! Having working in a private day nursery for 6years and now currently working as a Nanny for two families per week. I have been a Nanny since September 2010. I love being able to provide the children in my care a range of different play based activities which they may otherwise never get to experience . I also try to ensure that whilst having fun they're learning important skills to help promote their development and life skills.

10 Hand and feet Poems

Hand and feet prints can be used to create quick and easy cards and pictures for
Birthdays, Christmas, Mothers/Fathers day or for any special gift or memory.
So here are 10 different poems to go with them to make then even more special.

1.
"This is the hand
You used to hold
When I was only
..... years old."

2.
"My dirty little fingerprints
I've left on every wall,
And on the drawers and table tops,
I've really marked them all.
But here is one that won't rub off,
I'm giving it to you,
Because I'm thankful for a (mum, dad, brother, sister ...) just like you!"

3.
"There are always so many of my fingerprints to see,
On the furniture and walls from sticky, grubby me,
But if you stop and think a while,
You'll see I'm growing fast,
Those little handprints will disappear,
You can't bring back the past.
So here's a small reminder,
To keep not throw away,
Of how those tiny hands once looked,
To make you smile one day."

4.
"Ten tiny fingers, that always want to play,
That never stop exploring that wonder of today,
Ten tiny fingers, that from the very start,
Will reach out for tomorrow yet always hold your heart."

5.
"Here is my little footprint
one day it will fit your shoe
I watch what you are doing
Because (Daddy) I want to be like you"

6.
"Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am so small
And always leave my handprint
On furniture and wall

But everyday I'm growing
(I'll be all grown someday)
And all those tiny hand prints
Will surely fade away.

So here's a final handprint
Just so you can recall
Exactly how my fingers looked
When they were very small."

7.
"Someday I'll jump through puddles, take a stroll of run a race,
Someday I'll walk across the street, or maybe walk in space,
Someday I'll scale a mountain, or join a ballet corps,
Someday I'll walk a tightrope, or explore the ocean floor,
Someday these feet will do some things that only heaven knows,
But for today they're happy just to wiggle all their toes."

8.
"I used my thumb and fingers too
To make this flower just for you.
It doesn't smell, it doesn't grow.
It's from me to let you know;
Love you (Mum/Dad)?
Love you not?
Love you, (Mum/Dad)!
Love you a lot!"

9.
"The pitter patter of little feet
leave behind something dear and sweet
A precious treasure for you to keep
The memories of my little feet"

10.
"Walk a little slower daddy,"
said a child so small.
"I'm following in your footsteps
and I don't want to fall.

Sometimes your steps are very fast,
Sometimes they're hard to see;
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For you are leading me.

Someday when I'm all grown up,
You're what I want to be;
Then I will have a little child
Who'll want to follow me.

And I would want to lead just right,
And know that I was true;
So, walk a little slower, Daddy,
For I must follow you."

I have found these Poems all over the internet, so have taken my top 10 favourites
and put them all in one place
