Sometimes it's those simple cheap and always accessible things that make a child smile,
laugh and have fun for hours. Yet we forget it can you provide a great starting point
for stimulating those senses, creative skills and imaginations.
Here's a page especially dedicated to WATER play...
1. Paddling in the local river!
2. A bucket of soapy water, a few cloths and some ride on cars and bikes
and you've got your own Car wash!
3. A small pot of water and a paint brush - lets see what we can "redecorate" or
what pictures can we paint on the floor.
How about using this to practice writing and forming letters too.
or add some food colouring and use coloured water.
4. Spray bottles filled with coloured water - A great way to cool down in the heat
and they inspire imaginations too we had fun window cleaning and watering
the plants with them.
5. GREEN water with cups and jugs - great way to encourage tipping and pouring skills
as well as that hand eye co-ordinations, alongside serving
"tea" and "Juice" to us big kids too.
6. Soapy water - fill a water tray with water, add some washing up liquid and allow the children to splash about in the water to create the bubbles and foam.
